Training Sessions
Fundamental Expectations of a BSC Training Session
- There shoud be a training theme that the coach(es) are focused on for each training session
- Training themes should be determined by the following
- performance in previous training session/competition
- general guidelines set forth for each age group by the club
- facility resources available
- timing of session in relation to previous and next competitions
- Training sessions should be broken down into three sections (approximately 1/3, 1/3, and 1/3 time-wise)
- warm-up (should include skills needed for success in later activities
- small sided games/activities (1v1, 2v2, to 4v4 depending on age)
- large sided games/activities (6v6, 7v7, to 11v11 depending on age)
