Training Sessions

Fundamental Expectations of a BSC Training Session

  • There shoud be a training theme that the coach(es) are focused on for each training session
  • Training themes should be determined by the following

    • general guidelines set forth for each age group by the club
    • facility resources available
    • timing of session in relation to previous and next competitions
  • Training sessions should be broken down into three sections (approximately 1/3, 1/3, and 1/3 time-wise)
    • warm-up (should include skills needed for success in later activities
    • small sided games/activities (1v1, 2v2, to 4v4 depending on age)
    • large sided games/activities (6v6, 7v7, to 11v11 depending on age)
