Welcome to the Buffalo Soccer Club - BSC is a branch of Algonquin Sports for Kids.

Buffalo Soccer Club was created to offer the children of the city of Buffalo an opportunity in soccer.  From the game it is our hope that these same children develop good physical health, positive levels of self esteem, confidence, and core ethical principles in a safe, fun environment.  BSC will offer programming for young boys and girls ranging from five (5) years of age to eighteen (18).  We are hoping to create a program that is both robust and sustainable.  If you can contribute to the development and growth of our new club please contact Tom Garigen.

The next Street Clinic is at LaSalle Park on Thursday May 15th at 6:00pm.  See Upcoming Events Page for details.

Registrations are ongoing, meaning it is never too late to join.  Clinics are single day events that you can pick and choose to attend.  League registration will not occur until the fall pending interest levels.

We need volunteers!  We owe it to the kids!

We Play In The Rain!  Come On Out!

NYS West News

Program Director

I was Born in Buffalo, NY and I grew up in Niagara Falls. I played youth soccer for Niagara PAL Soccer Club and Buffalo Premier Futbal Club.  I attended LaSalle High School for two years and then attended the new Niagara Falls High School for two years, where I graduated in 2002.  I played soccer, basketball, and baseball at LaSalle.  At Niagara Falls I played soccer.  In my high school soccer career I was selected to the All Niagara Frontier League Team 4 straight years.  I also earned the New York State Public High School Scholar Athelete Team Award for having a team GPA of 90% in my junior year.  As a senior I was selected to play in the Buffalo Western New York Exceptional Senior game at Canisius College.  After high school I played one year of college soccer at Hiram College outside of Cleveland, Ohio.  That year my team was awarded the NCAA Team Ethics Bronze Award for fair play.

After my freshman year I ended my playing career to focus on a coaching career. I have coached boys and girls at the youth, high school, and college levels in my short career.  I am currently on staff at Buffalo United Soccer Club, and with the NYSWYSA Olympic Development Program.  I'm also a Board of Director for Niagara PAL Soccer Club in Niagara Falls, NY.

Spotlight!

The Community Action Organization of Erie County has been firmly behind the creation and operation of Algonquin Sports for Kids and the Buffalo Soccer Club.  Besides L. Nathan Hare, CEO of the CAO, sitting as a board member for Algonquin Sports, the CAO is committing political capital, people resources in the form of volunteers, resources such as outdoor facilities and community centers, as well as some financial assistance.  On behalf of the children who will benefit from Buffalo Soccer Club and Algonquin Sports of Kids, thank you!
