Score For A Cure

Each athlete that participates will be asked to obtain at least 3 sponsors

These sponsors will have two options

  1. To give a flat donation
  2. To pledge an amount based on the number of goals the team scores for the season

Your child will then turn their sponsor information in to the Score for a Cure volunteer on your team.

This volunteer will send each form they receive to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

At the end of the Upstate Premier League Season, the number of goals the team scores will be recorded and letters will be sent out from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to your sponsors.

Complete details can be found in the PowerPoint.

Pledge sheets here.

TOPSoccer

The Buffalo District TOPSoccer program just finished their summer session with 51 registered players and 46 volunteers. The last session of the Buffalo TOPSoccer program was on Tuesday, August 14th.  The players received trophies for another great season.

This has been the largest volunteer turn-out for the Buffalo group.  It is our goal for every player to have a TOPSoccer buddy.  We had special guest appearances by Mike Radecke, NYSWest President and Chris Hershey, Buffalo District Associate Director of Coaching who's volunteer assistance was greatly appreciated.   A big thank you to the Buffalo United Soccer Club for sending many of their players to help out with our program.  Thank you also to the West Seneca Soccer Club and Randy Pawlik for setting up the fields for us at the West Seneca Soccer Complex.

Thank you again to Chris Miller who offered to take pictures for us again this session.  They can be viewed at www.nyswysa.org, click on TOPSoccer, then Buffalo Area.

The Buffalo District TOPSoccer has been running consistently for 5 years with the help of a great group of committed coaches and administrators - I want to personally thank Scot and Ginny Boniface, Mark Spacone, Jim Hanlon, Karen and Eric Keyes, Nancy Derkacz and a new addition to our administrative staff - Joe DiCesare for their dedication to our program.

Respectfully Submitted by Teresa Doermer, NYSWest TOPSoccer Director
