Coaching Staff

Buffalo Soccer Club will be staffed by a large group of volunteer coaches all of abilities and experiences who will be supersied and guided by a small group of highly trained and certified teachincal directors. The technical directors are licensed coaches who have years of experience in the game of soccer. Empire United, a sister organization of Buffalo Soccer Club, will be the primary source of our licensed staff until we can find Buffalo Soccer Club coaches who are willing and able to go through the training.

Licensed Staff Members (LSM) - Possesses a minimum of a United State Soccer Federation "D" license.

Certified Staff Members (CSM) - Possesses a minimum of a United State Youth Soccer Youth Module Certificate.

Annalesa Calvert "Tex"

Anna-Lesa was a member of the prestigious D'Feeters Soccer Club in Dallas, Texas. During her club career she won the North Texas State Championship and was a finalist in the Region III Championships, as well as several other top tournaments nation-wide. After club, she joined the University of Buffalo soccer team where she was four year starter in net. She was a captain for the team her senior year and earned MAC accolades, being placed on the All-MAC Academic team two years. She was also an NCAA Sportsmanship Award Winner and a East Region Academic Scholar- Honorable Mention. Along with her career at UB, Anna-Lesa was a member of the Rhocester Ravens semi-pro soccer team for two years. She will be entering her third year as a coach, having served as the U15 Premier Head Coach in 05 and the U14 Assistant Coach in 06. She is looking to obtain her USFF National D license this fall.

Kristine Eckert

Kristine is a former Region IV ODP staff member and is currently the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at the University at Buffalo. Kristine comes to Buffalo with a wealth of coaching experience. She also holds her C license from the USSF.

Rob Jackman

Rob likes to emphasize technique, decision making, and fun in his training sessions and firmly believes that every youth player should strive to play the ball under pressure with confidence and composure. He has received his National "C" and National "Y" licenses through USSF as well as a State Goalkeeping Certificate from NYSWYSA.

Megan Kiernan

Megan has been involved in organized soccer in Buffalo for the past 15 years. She played high school soccer for Williamsville East High School and played at the premier level for five years. She’s been involved in youth coaching for various clubs in Western New York for the past eight years and holds an E Certificate from USSF.

Jerry West

Grew up with the Clarence Soccer Club and played for the high school. Been coaching the past 12 years for teams in Lockport, Clarence and now Newfane. Holds a USSF Youth Module certificate as well as a USSF 'E' License. Brings a great parental perspective to training and team management.
