Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

1. Ask, “What can I do for the player”, not “What can the player do for me?”
2. Put developing people ahead of developing soccer players.
3. Demand the right intent over the right result. 
4. Empower players to think and act on their own and be as transparent as possible.
5. Be as demanding as I can of the very best from each player at all training and competitions
6. Be as prepared as possible for training sessions and games
7. Continually look to improve as a coach
8. Treat my players with respect and demand the same back from them
9. Hold my players accountable for whatever they have control over
10. Lead by example as a role model and as an ambassador of the game

Dress Code

Shirts/Tops

• Please wear BSC shirts or warm-up tops.
• If it is not available, please wear soccer gear, preferably club colors (yellow, orange, and green). 

Shorts/Pants

• Please wear soccer shorts or pants.   
• Kaki pants or shorts are acceptable for games. 
• No jeans, cargo pants, or "worn" looking lower garments. 

Hats/Visors

• Hats are acceptable as long as they are worn properly and there are no inappropriate logos or sayings on them. 
• No backwards baseball caps or visors. 

Footwear

• Soccer shoes should be worn. 
• Sneakers are acceptable for game day coaching only. 
• Sandals, even soccer sandals, are not acceptable footwear. 

General

• In general soccer clothing is best.  
• All attire should be well cleaned and not wearing out and/or old looking.
• Anything with political positions, racial or ethnic slurs, or profanity of any kind is prohibited.  
• The way each person looks represents everyone else in the organization. If you see someone who is violating these rules, or who is trying to skim by on the "letter of the law", let that person know. I know that talking to someone about this can be uncomfortable, but you aren't doing him/her any favors if you keep it to yourself.
